Engineering students take their lesson outdoors
Last week, Year 10 students took their engineering lesson outdoors. Students were asked to investigate different types of material used to make the items on their worksheet list.
They analysed products such as train station signage, hand rails, drain covers and bollards, whilst questioning what material was used for each product and why. It was important to understand the function of each material and the key benefits. They then investigated further looking into the tools, equipment and machinery that would be needed to manufacture such projects.
