Year 12 Engineering Students visit to Mulalley

Last week, our Year 12 engineering students had the opportunity to visit Mulalley's Woodward Road site.

The visit has enabled the students to get an insight into how a civil engineering project is developed and managed. The students were able to walk around the site and see a range of the engineering works being undertaken that often are not seen, including the service piping, including the electrical and IT provision. They were also taught the computer system that supports the project management of the programme.

The students have been given their own project to design the project management programme for one of the buildings on site, which they will deliver to the company on their return visit next term.
