Year 13 Engineering Students Site Visit to Morgan Sindall
Year 13 Elutec Academy Engineering students had the opportunity to visit the site of the new Barking Riverside rail station and extension of the Overground line in December.
The visit was part of a wider engagement project Elutec Academy have with Morgan Sindall Volker Fitzpatrick Joint Venture. The visit allowed the students to see the progress being made on the site towards its completion, including how the M&E services were being installed.
An enlightening visit that allowed our students to speak to the Works Manager who explained the challenges in project managing such a large civil engineering project. MSVF JV also arranged for some of their newly qualified engineers to talk to our students and explain about the different routes into careers in the industry.
A big thank you to all the team at Barking Riverside for supporting Elutec Academy students.
