
Year 13 Students Complete the Young Enterprise: Grid for Good - a National Grid programme
Elutec Academy’s year 13 students have completed the three virtual sessions with the Young Enterprise: Grid for Good – a National Grid programme
During the three sessions the students were:
- Introduced to the Energy Sector and the wide range of Engineering and STEM careers that are available
- Advised how the Assessment process works for applying for Apprenticeships and given guidance and tips on how to approach the process
- Advised on the importance and took part in some practical activities in developing the soft skills that employers want in their employees
- Given some real-life job opportunities that are available for students completing the programme
- Informed that the programme has a mentoring scheme and students will be given an opportunity to work with a Mentor to support them through the next stage of the programme and possibility of an apprenticeship
- Informed that an extra four individual session if Mentorship taken up.
